Lemon Kush

Lemon Kush is an Indica dominant strain created by crossing Master Kush and Lemon Joy. Lemon Joy is not one of the best known strains, but Master Kush is a byword for strength and quality in the cannabis world. Evidence for this comes from its first prize in the 1994 Hydro section of the High Times Cannabis Cup.

Given its name, the strong smell and flavor of lemons comes as no surprise. The bouquet also has notes of fresh turned earth and a hint of sweetness. The high is strongly physical but the sedative effects are offset by a distinctly Sativa cerebral stimulation which prevents this weed from turning into a couchlocker. Medical practitioners recommend it for stress, muscular pain and poor appetite.

The Lemon Kush strain produces plants that grow to a height of between 100 and 120 centimetres with broad green leaves. The buds are dense and covered in a layer of sticky crystals. THC content has been measured as high as 21.6 percent in the lab.

The best results with indoor growing come with using organic soil and nutrients. Flowering time is from eight to nine weeks and harvests are in the average range.

You’ll only succeed with outdoor growing of Lemon Kush if you cultivate it somewhere at least as warm and sunny as the Mediterranean. Outdoors, this strain can grow to a height of around two metres and harvest time comes in early October in the northern hemisphere.

Other strains will give you larger harvests, but few can offer the combination of flavor and potency that Lemon Kush consistently delivers. If you’re a novice reading this Lemon Kush review, note that this weed’s high THC level means you should approach it with caution.

One comment on Lemon Kush

I found a fat seed in each package of Lemon Kush I purchased. 4 seeds in all. Planted indoors in a window in late March, moved outside in early May. Now, early September
and they are 6 1/2 feet tall, and totally budding out.

this is NOT a Mediterranean climate. Its an unusually sunny SEATTLE. hopefully they’ll finish budding (coming along great) with the amount of direct sunlight down to 3-4 hours per day.

Lemon Kush

Lemon Kush comes from a chitral kush from the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is an indica dominant plant.

The plant develops dense resinous buds coated with white shine crystals. The strain also demonstrates sativa properties. It suits both for indoors and for outdoors in a warm, temperate climate. The harvest comes after 60 days of flowering or in September and brings amazing yields of 1 kg.

The smoke provides unusual, potent herbal, lemony aroma and taste and stone-body high and pleasant relaxation.
