Fire has a dark skin complexion and facial features consisting of large blue eyes, rosy cheeks and mid-length blonde hair framing their faces. He also has clothes composed of a striped red and white sleeveless top worn under white dungarees, and a cap. However, Fire’s cap is orange.
With Kim Diehl’s magic, Fire can enter his Earth Shaman form. In that form, Fire takes on the form of a young boy with chin-length blonde hair with (possibly) red tips. An elaborate marking in the shape of a fireball is emblazoned on one side of his hair, with a similar tattoo on his right shoulder. He has small but profound tear drop-shaped markings beneath each of his eyes and has three short vertical lines marked between his eyes. He also wears a scarf that seems to be made of fire. There are also what appears to be vents located on some parts of his body. Three are seen on each of his pectoral muscles, three on each of his shoulders, and three on the back of each of his hands. He also wears long metal bracelets on each arm.
Not much is known about the personality of Fire and how it differs from his twin sister, Thunder. Both are inquisitive and easily distracted. More often than not, they do not realize that they are supposed to be serious in some situations, and always remain playful and innocent. They share Kilik’s carefree and laid back attitude to most things, and are always cheerful and looking for fun. They are surprisingly tough for their age, and do not show fear when fighting with Kilik. However, they can still be spooked when things get too violent, which causes them to cry and run to Kilik or the nearest person for protection, which show that they are still heavily dependent on others and are defenseless on their own.
Much like normal siblings, they quarrel a lot and can be impatient, no matter how serious the situation is. This is shown during the operation to capture Baba Yaga Castle against Arachnophobia. In conducting this mission they nearly ruin Kilik’s disguise in front of Mosquito, through arguing while still being an integral part of the disguise. Also, due to their playfulness, they easily fall under the influence of Demon Tool Soldier Morubi’s technique.
Despite these setbacks, Fire and Thunder are actually quite serious at times, especially when it comes to their abilities as Earth Shamans. They have deep ties to nature and are shown to express concern, even sadness, when they feel nature’s pain from being polluted. Their feelings can be quite intense if nature is heavily affected by something, which may make them emotional in some situations.
Due to their young age, they do not speak. Being rather in sync with each other, there are not that many differences in their individual personalities.
Full-Weapon Transformation (全身武器, Zenshin Buki): As a Demon Weapon, Fire is capable of transforming into a Demon Weapon.
- Pot of Fire (ポット・オブ・ファイア, Potto obu Faia): Fire’s given weapon form is that of a gloved gauntlet referred to as a “pot”, and is one part of the Demon Pots set he and his twin sister share. His version is capable of manipulating his namesake, fire.
- Wavelength Control (波長コントロール, Hachō Kontorōru): Fire is competent enough to control his own wavelength and his Meister’s in his weapon form.
Earth Shaman (大地の祈祷師, Daichi no Kitōshi): Fire is an earth shaman, giving him a special connection to the earth and can enable him to find secret passageways hidden within the ground and feel nature around them. When exposed to magic from a witch, they can awaken more of their special abilities.
Pyrokinesis: Fire is capable of generating fire even outside his weapon form due to his Demon Weapon heritage. It us unknown if it is an application of a partial weapon transformation.
Fire’s awakened form.
When his abilities as a Earth Shamans are awakened, Fire’s form takes a more older appearance and his powers are heighten. Although in which degree is unknown, his abilities are at least far stronger than his normal form and can allow for stronger wavelength control, soul resonance techniques, and retains his control over fire.
Shooting Skills (銃撃技, Jūgeki Waza): In this form, Fire was able to hold one of the Demon Twin Guns and fire accurate shots at the Black Clown.
Pyrokinesis: Fire also retains his power over controlling fire enough to immune his wavelength shots using the demon twin guns with flames.

- E3 ( E3 ( イー スリー ) , Ee Suree ): A Teamwise Soul Resonance used by members of Kilik’s Team (Fire, Thunder, Kim, Kilik, and Jaqueline) and Kid’s Team (Liz & Patty). After performing a Chain Resonance, Kim uses Magic to awaken Fire and Thunder’s abilities as Earth Shamans, resulting in them becoming older versions of themselves. With the Demon Twin Guns at hand, Kim and Jacqueline position themselves behind Kilik to brace for the recoil. The actual attack is fired off by Fire and Thunder using the Demon Twin Guns, combining their respective elements into a large beam of energy laced with the mentioned elements with destructive capabilities powerful enough to destroy the Black Clown.
Soul Eater NOT!
The twins are seen in Weapon form with their Meister, Kilik, advertising the DWMA to the new school students on Enrollment Day.
Duel Arts Arc
Fire and Thunder are seen standing beside Kilik Rung as they decide to fight Hiro and Excalibur with Death the Kid, Black☆Star and their partners. Kilik tries to attack Hiro with Pot of Fire, using Triple F, but Hiro casually dodges the attack, before defeating Kilik, Kid and Black☆Star with a single hit.
BREW The Tempest Arc
Fire and Thunder remain in Weapon form throughout the battle for Brew on Lost Island, where they, along with numerous other DWMA students, are chosen to participate in the mission to retrieve the Demon Tool before Arachnophobia. Stein and Marie enter the magnetic field in the centre of the island where the Demon Tool is located, and the twins with their Meister, stay behind with Ox, Harvar, Kim, Jacqueline, Black☆Star, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, Liz, Patti, Soul and Maka. However, they are soon ambushed by Arachnophobia troops. When Maka, Kid and Black☆Star and their partners go after Stein and Marie to retrieve Brew, Kilik decides to stay behind with Ox and Kim and their partners to stop Arachne’s forces from advancing. During the battle, Fire and Thunder show their immense power as Demon Pots, Resonating with both Kilik and with Ox in order to create powerful attacks, such as Lightning Flash and Aphex Twin. Kilik and Ox and their partners then cover Kim as she flies into the sky on Jacqueline to send out a signal for the Shibusen forces to retreat. After dispatching the enemy forces, Kilik, Fire and Thunder, Ox and Harvar see Marie and Stein emerge from the magnetic field. Seeing that Maka and the others have not returned, the two Meisters and their Demon Weapons go on to help them, ignoring Marie’s threats of failing all of their grades if they disobey orders. They accompany Maka and the others out of the field, with Kilik helping out Black☆Star. They witness the holographic replay of the destruction of the research facility of the island in the magnetic field, before they leave the field. Marie threatens to strike them, but then embraces them, glad that they are all safe.
The twins are seen with Kilik as he chooses an extracurricular mission to go on. He needs to find another Meister and Weapon team to come along with him, and asks Ox if he wants to come with him. However, Ox replies that he intends to ask Kim, and Kilik wishes him luck. As Ox leaves and Kilik has a short conversation with Maka and Soul, Kilik tells the twins that they need to find a team mate to go with them on their mission. Soon Harvar and Ox, who has an immensely gaunt expression on his face, returns. The twins hide behind Kilik, afraid of him. Ox explains how he had got rejected by Kim because of his hairstyle. Although Kilik suggests he change his hairstyle, Ox replies that his hairstyle grants him the power of lightning to protect the ones he loves. Impressed by his spirit, Kilik offers him to go with him on his mission, the mission that requires a burning heart and spirit. Ox agrees and take their mission to the receptionist, who super-approves their mission.
The Deal arc
Fire and Thunder are seen at Shibusen with Kilik, Ox and Harvar. All of them have their shirts off. When Soul and Maka ask them why they are not wearing shirts, Kilik explains their story of how they went about with their mission, which was to quell the rage of a giant. Kilik and Ox had gone against the giant in a stand-off, whilst Harvar, Fire and Thunder had sat and watched. In the end, however, they had ended up befriending the giant, and had all danced around naked around a camp fire. Soon Jacqueline and Kim return and Jacqueline and Maka fuss over the twins, until DWMA officials try to take Kim and Jacqueline away. Realizing that the DWMA had discovered that she is a Witch, Kim and Jacqueline quickly run away before explanations can be made.
Operation Capture Baba Yaga Arc
Both Fire and Thunder, along with Kilik, Ox, Harvar, Death the Kid, Liz, Patti, Soul and Maka are specifically chosen to follow Medusa on her mission to infiltrate Arachne’s castle, which is located in the Amazon River Basin in South America. During their travel in the Amazon forests, the group come across a lake polluted by magic, caused by Arachne’s Demon Tool production. Fire and Thunder suddenly begin to loudly weep, to Maka’s surprise. Kilik proceeds to explain that ‘nature is crying’ and that the grief inflicted upon the land due to magical contamination is being directly transmitted to the young children because of their Earth Shaman heritage. As Maka comforts the two, Medusa suggests that the sound of the Earth will probably sound like the babbling of children, as she cannot imagine the Earth’s voice as anything else. This causes Soul to throw a snide comment at her, and he asks how Medusa can say such kind things after she had ruined the world by releasing Asura.
At this moment, the team is attacked by a squid-like creature, formerly an ordinary creature mutated by the magical pollution. It is covered by a seemingly impervious magical coating, making everyone’s attacks useless. Medusa proposes to dissemble this protection using her magic and follow it up with a powerful attack. With that, she enhances Fire and Thunder with Vector Boost, increasing the power of their attacks in order to defeat the creature. Kilik manages to defeat the squid with a combination of Vector Boost and Triple F through Resonating with Fire. Later, the twins look on sadly at the squid’s soul as Death the Kid stores it in his body for later. They soon meet up with one of the Mizune who tells Medusa and the others, to everyone’s shock, that Kim and Jacqueline have joined up with Arachnophobia.
After the group successfully manage to infiltrate the castle, they meet up with Eruka, who gives everyone Arachnophobia uniforms to wear. Kilik adopts the disguise of a member of Arachnophobia, with Fire and Thunder concealed under the same cloak on top of his head. However, everyone’s identical appearances forces the two to temporarily split up. Kilik and the twins, with Ox and Harvar, end up playing chess with Mosquito. All goes well, until Fire and Thunder start fighting. This causes Kilik’s cover to be nearly blown, but, thankfully, Mosquito mistakes them for some of the Artifact Soldiers.
Soon, everyone is reunited again, and Medusa runs them through with their plan: to destroy the eight Locks scattered throughout the castle that locks the Queen Spider’s Room. She uses Vector Conduct on Kilik and Ox to direct them to one of the Locks. Before splitting up, Medusa equips Fire and Thunder with another Vector Boost. However, Ox senses Kim and with persuasion from Kilik, goes on ahead to find her with Harvar. Kilik and the twins go on alone to find the Lock. However, Kilik’s cover is nearly blown once again, when the twins start violently arguing between themselves but due to their resemblance to Artifact Soldiers, the deception is preserved. Kilik ends up in a room full of Artifact Soldiers. As he senses the explosions of the other Locks being destroyed, he decides to abandon his disguise and fight his way to the Lock.
He orders Fire and Thunder to transform. He uses their magically-enhanced powers with Medusa’s Vector Boost to easily blow away the forces using attacks such as Double T. When the Artifact Soldiers realize their dwindling numbers, they send in Artifact Soldier Morubi. It uses an ability which involves it creating lots of toys and confetti to appear, which serves to entertain and distract both Fire and Thunder, leaving Kilik to fight alone. The twins completely ignore Kilik being chased around by the Artifact Soldiers, being completely taken in by Morubi’s entertaining actions. It is not until Harvar appears and kills Morubi right in front of them that they stop playing. They then run to Kilik, terrified by Harvar. As Kilik and the twins reunite with Ox, Harvar, Jacqueline and Kim, they soon go on to destroy the Lock, opening up the door to the Queen Spider’s Room. This is the last time the twins are seen in this arc.
Arachnophobia vs DWMA Arc
They are both observed as members of the newly formed DWMA’s Spartoi unit, the same time that Soul becomes a Death Scythe. Later, both Fire and Thunder are seen playing with Angela as Tsubaki chases both the three around, pretending to be a scary monster.
Witch’s Research arc
On their first mission as part of DWMA’s elite unit, Spartoi, they are tasked with the locating of certain materials supported by Kilik, Liz and Patti, with Kim and Jacqueline stationed nearby. The operation has lead the group into a seemingly desolate village within Africa, and they are infiltrating one of Medusa’s abandoned laboratories in order to gather information of her plans. Through the use of the Demon Tool Income, constant contact is maintained between them and Yumi Azusa, the Death Scythe in charge of the mission. Yumi advises Kilik to use Fire and Thunder for close-range and the Thompson sisters for long-range combat. As they continue through the town, Fire and Thunder proceed to alert the others to their discovery of an underground passageway, that they are able to detect due to their Earth Shaman powers. The group cautiously descend down the darkened stairs, with the twins assuming their Weapon forms in preparation for any traps.
After entering the laboratory, they gather the information, and the team exits the hidden structure only to be attacked by numerous crazed locals of the village. Because of them being fired on by guns, Kilik mostly fights using Liz and Patti, whilst Fire and Thunder retain their Weapon form, as Kilik evades the multiple assaults directed towards them, only using the Pots to eventually smash through a solid wall in order to conduct an escape.
Later, at a more secure location, the twins are seen playing with Patti as the reunited group contemplate on the meaning of the research they have gathered and its relation to the situation in the village. While this occurs, the Black Clown appears. Fire and Thunder are immediately aware of the Clown’s presence. They, along with Liz, Patti and Jacqueline assume Weapon form as Kim and Kilik prepare to fight the Clown. After overcoming the Wavelength of madness coming from the creature, they engage in battle. Kilik now starts using the Demon Pots more than the Thompson sisters, engaging in close combat. Kim covers Kilik by getting rid of the Black Blood emitted from the Black Clown so it cannot counter-attack.
But the Black Clown is fairly resilient, and Kilik and the others fail to do damage. They decide to use a Chain Resonance. Kim passes on her magic to Fire and Thunder, awakening their true Earth Shaman powers, causing them to assume their adult forms. Fire and Thunder take hold of Liz and Patti in Weapon form and fire two huge blasts at the Clown, resulting in the attack, E3. The Black Clown, heavily damaged, retreats before Kilik and the others realize that it is still alive. Kilik and the others decide that the Black Clown is destroyed.
Fire, Thunder, Kilik , Maka, Soul, Tsubaki, Black☆Star and Blair are chosen to enter the Book of Eibon in order to save Kid, who has bee kidnapped by Noah. They enter the book via help with the Witches Kim, Eruka (recently captured by Black☆Star) and the released Risa and Arisa.
They enter the Book and start off in the Introduction, where they meet The Table of Contents, the creature in charge of organizing the Book. The Table of Contents explains to them that everyone must traverse the seven Chapters of the Book in order to reach Kid. Everyone agrees to go on, and enter a portal into the first Chapter, Lust. Here, everyone has their genders switched, each person transformed into a manifestation of what they find sexually attractive in the opposite sex. Amusingly, Fire and Thunder look completely identical to each other, even when their genders are switched. The twins fidget, obviously embarrassed and confused as to what has happened.
After the team confront and defeat The Succubus, they move onto the next Chapter, Gluttony. Everyone finds that although their personalities have returned to normal, their switched genders are still the same, despite them leaving the Lust Chapter. The Table of Contents explains that their transformations will gradually fade, but the more lustful the person, the slower the transformation.
As they traverse the Gluttony Chapter, they run into a giant pig. Allured by its delicious meat, Black☆Star cuts it into pieces whilst Kilik fries it using Pot of Fire. Kilik, Patti and Black☆Star start eating and Soul manages to get The Table of Contents to move on before they give in to the sin.
Whilst Soul and Maka are left behind in the third Chapter, Envy, the rest of the team keep going on through the Chapters, encountering Excalibur in the Chapters of Wrath and Pride, much to their dismay. Soon, they reach the last Chapter. Black☆Star decides to face Death the Kid alone, forcing Kilik, Fire, Thunder, Liz, Patti and Tsubaki to wait for him.
After Black☆Star manages to rescue Kid, The Black Mass sends everyone out from the Book of Eibon. They end up on the battlefield with Noah, who had just killed Tezca Tlipoca and incapacitated Stein, Marie, Sid Barrett and Mira Naigus. Kilik and the twins, along with everyone else, prepare to fight Noah. As Death the Kid and Black☆Star fight Noah, Kilik uses Pot of Fire to destroy the Select Gremlins summoned by Noah, and later takes on the Horror Dragon with his Demon Pots until Kid defeats the dragon and Noah with Parent’s Seven Rays.

Kilik’s personality seems similar to Black☆Star’s, albeit curtailed to a much more manageable level. One of the differences is that he lacks the egotistical trait of Black☆Star as he is slightly more laid-back and lighthearted guy always optimistic. He sometimes acts like a leader in his group consisting of Kim, Ox, himself and their Weapon partners. He rarely panics, always remaining upbeat and optimistic, even in an intense situation. Although easy-going most of the time, he is fiery and aggressive in battle. He always has a sense of humour but can sometimes be a little immature, often joking around with the likes of Patti and Black☆Star and teasing some of his friends. He sometimes squabbles with his friends, but is always there for them when the situation calls for it. As seen in the Salvage story arc, he shares Black☆Star’s love of food, and can be a bit of a glutton, immediately proceeding to roast some peanuts in the Gluttony Chapter with Pot of Fire before eating it.
He is seen to be brave, but also on the reckless side, as he tries to immediately find Kim after she flees the DWMA. This shows that he is quite caring and supportive towards his friends, and does not hesitate in trying to help them or to encourage them. He also gets along fairly well with his partners, Fire and Thunder, who are still only children, and is patient with them. He is very loyal to his team and his friends, and would even disobey orders and face danger head-on in order to help them. He understands his friends quite well, and always cheers them up when they are down, but also respects their pride and sometimes chooses to step back when he feels that his friends do not need his help, shown when he does not help Ox fight against some people who are insulting Kim for being a Witch. He does not hesitate in helping people in danger though, and is frustrated when he cannot do anything to help.
Similar to Black☆Star, Kilik is shown to be quite hot-blooded, determined, headstrong and passionate, especially in battle. He can sometimes be inflexible, and loses his temper around others when his feelings get the better of him, especially when his friends get involved. However, he is not too proud to apologize if he does lose his temper. He is tough and resilient in fights, and is not afraid of fighting, even when he is outnumbered. In fact, he enjoys fighting, seeing it as a challenge, and can be quite competitive, although not as much as Black☆Star. He does not care about finesse in fighting, as long as he wins in the end. He dislikes sitting still and doing nothing and considers technical conversations and strategies to be quite boring. He is quite direct when it comes to telling people how he feels and can be quite aggressive to those he considers his enemy. He immediately expresses disapproval of DWMA teaming up with Medusa to defeat Arachne and he wastes no time in informing Medusa of his hatred of her when they meet, even threatening to beat up Witches like her.
Although he is shown to be envious of Black☆Star for sharing a bedroom with Tsubaki, Kilik is one of the less lustful ones in the Spartoi team, having changed back relatively quickly after leaving the Lust Chapter. He sometimes expresses a lack of tact and awareness of the situation, sometimes unknowingly embarrassing some of his friends. Because of his slight ignorance of the situation or the feelings of others, he cannot use Soul Perception like Maka and Death the Kid.
He is also supportive of Ox’s feelings for Kim, and tries to cheer him up after he gets rejected. He even goads Ox and pushes him further to sought out Kim during Operation Capture Baba Yaga’s Castle. With respect to his relations with other people, Kilik seems to be quite amiable. He seems to have a knack for making friends with people. He even ends up befriending a ferocious giant in the manga.
When transformed into a female in the Lust Chapter of the Book of Eibon, his personality becomes more serious, and he expresses his despair when the female (now male) members of Spartoi begin to pay attention to the Succubus. He also shows a new infatuation towards men, as he blushes when Blair shows her new sexually attractive male form. However, after leaving the Chapter, his personality returns to normal.
According to Soul, Kilik also seems to be interested in music. Soul states that Kilik can play drums quite well.
Kilik is a black Meister with dark eyes and black hair, and is thirteen years old in the first part of the series, seems to be around Black☆Star’s age. His hairstyle is a combination of short dreadlocks along the top of his scalp, with cornrows lining the sides and back. He wears square-rimmed glasses and is seen with them both on and off. Being known for his physical fitness, he is quite well-built, though he tends to stand with poor posture, slouching over.
Kilik’s outfit consists of a short-sleeve shirt that appears to have either a shadowy Shinigami pattern across the sleeve ending or a joint lightning-fire pattern across the sleeve ending, with flame patterns on the right sleeve, lightning bolt patterns on the left. In later appearances, he simply has a plain white shirt with ‘DC’ (probably standing for Death City) written on the left breast. He also has a unique gold-coloured tribal-looking necklace, but, like his first shirt, this was removed in his later appearances. He wears grey pants with various decorative chains, a sweatband on each of his arms that covers almost the entire forearm and sneakers. On formal occasions, he wears a suit, but also wears a green baseball cap turned to the side as well.
When becoming a member of Spartoi, Kilik adopts the team’s uniform. Out of all the members of Spartoi, Kilikn wears the most ordinary uniform: a plain, white dress shirt with the top opened slightly to reveal his sternum. He has the sleeves rolled up just below his biceps. He wears a long sweatband on each of his wrists that covers the majority of his forearms; one is light-patterned while the other is dark and light patterned. He was once seen with a small necklace in his shirt and a longer one outside his shirt alongside striped braces/suspenders that ran through his shirt collar. Lastly, he wears blue pants and white sneakers.
In the first Chapter of the Book of Eibon, Lust, Kilik is changed into a female. In this form, his uniform changes to match the Spartoi uniform worn by female members. His uniform is similar to Kim and Jacqueline’s, consisting of a white long-sleeved blouse with stitches running down the middle where the buttons should be, with the trademark sailor collar and tie. The uniform is complete with a short pleated skirt and stockings and shoes. The lenses of his glasses are round instead of square. He has long hair and his hairstyle consists of half his head tied up in cornrows, the other half let down, with long sweeping bangs going diagonally across his forehead.
Utility Meister (万能職人, Ban’nō Shokunin): According to Azusa Yumi, one of Kilik’s most special talent is his capability to hook into the wavelength rhythms of different weapons and synchronize himself enough to wield them.
Kilik knocks out one of the Demon Tool Soldiers.
- Pot Meister (壺職人, Tsubo Shokunin): Centrally, Kilik is a pot meister, a meister’s who’s skilled in the usage of gauntlet-like devices called “pots”. He combines his capabilities with that of his hand-to-hand combat skills, enabling him to take on multiple opponents as well as powerful opponents.
- Magic (魔法, Mahō) : Kilik is seemingly compatible with the usage of magic if granted to him by the likes of Medusa Gorgon, his skill being proficient enough for Ox Ford to mentioned his apparent skill in using Vector Boost. (Former)
- Gun-Type Meister (銃型職人, Jū-gata Shokunin): Among other kinds of Wavelengths he can synconize and wield is gun-type weapons. He possess considerable skill with the Demon Twin Guns enough to use them in battle as well as Azusa’s gunbow transformation, managing to hit barely grace Asura from Earth to the Moon.
Kilik kicking the Black Clown.
Hand-to-Hand Combat ( 体術 ( たいじゆつ ) , Taijutsu): Kilik is a skilled and very adept hand-to-hand combatant, his skills having earned him the reputation among one of the three top students in the EAT Class, only surpassed by Black☆Star and Death the Kid. Combining such skills with his Demon Pots, he’s shown capable of besting the flawed Demon Tool Soldier 2 and even the Insight Demon Tool Soldier, who remarked that while he was capable of seeing his next twenty moves, he was unable to find a way to counter them. He also showed considerable skill when he fended off the Black Clown despite the creation able to withstand his attacks.
- Instantaneous Maximum Firepower (瞬間最大火力, Shunkan Saidai Karyoku): According to Medusa, it is well known that Kilik himself is capable of outputting powerful attacks in an “instant”, allowing him to achieve greater damage then average fighters while using the Demon Pots. This style of fighting has earned even recognition and the respects of Medusa when she stated the Black Clown being unaffected by his attacks was “adequate results”.
Enhanced Reflexes: Kilik possess excellent reflexes, capable of dodging gunfire from a Gatling gun, as a thrown moltov, a RPG, and the Vector Arrow spell from the Black Clown.
Acrobatic Skill: Combined with his reflexes and agility, Kilik is acrobatic enough to vault over a wall much longer then himself.
Demon Pots (魔壺, Matsubo): Partnered with twin Fire and Thunder, Kilik can use their weapon forms as gauntlets (called “Pots”) in order to increase his attacking capability as well as manipulate the elememt of fire and thunder from the respective partner.
List of special moves
- AFX-T ( AFX-T ( エフェックスティー ) , Efekkusutī; FUNimation “Apex Twin”): One of Kilik’s strongest attacks; Upon using Soul Resonance, Kilik uses both demon pots to generate fire in his right hand and thunder in their left hand. The user then combines the two elements together, creating a large blue form of energy (resembling a large flame that gives off small bolts of lightning), which is subsequently condensed into a small ball. The user then drives the ball of energy into his opponent, creating a large explosion upon impact.
- Double T ( TT ( ダブルティー ) , Daburutī): A special techniques used by Kilik, The initial attack makes the Pot of Fire radiate with fire and is thrown at opponent(s) in a linear fashion before being followed up by a leap from the user, a charged fist creating a lightning bolt-shaped trajectory in the air. Upon landing, Kilik smashes the charged lightning onto the ground, making a radial attack that sends shockwaves of electricity crashing through the ground, electrocuting any enemy it touches. The entire attack is perform in a motion resembling a “T”.
- Vector Boost (ベクトルブースト, Bekutoru Būsuto): Granted to him by Medusa, he was capable of using the Magic along with the Demon Pots to boost his attacks by throwing his attacks at the same direction of the arrow. Being able to kill the Squid(?), he remarked that this Magic is some “deadly shit” and considerably powerful. He was also capable of using this to decimate a room full of Demon Tool Soldiers. He was only capable of using two at a time on both his right and left arm.
Teamwise Soul Resonance techniques with Liz, Patty, Fire, Thunder, Jacqueline, and Kim
- E3 ( E3 ( イー スリー ) , Ee Suree ): The technique is executed by performing the aforementioned chain resonance and Kim awakening Fire and Thunder’s abilities as Earth Shamans, resulting in them becoming older versions of themselves. With the Demon Twin Guns at hand, Kim and Jacqueline position themselves behind Kilik to brace for the recoil. The actual attack itself is fired off by Fire and Thunder using the Demon Twin Guns, combining their respective elements into a large beam of energy laced with the mentioned elements with immense destructive capabilities.

However, Shinigami tells him that it is impossible as everyone is now stuck in another dimension. Kirikou voices his frustration, but Shinigami reassures him. Kirikou then listens as Shinigami tells everyons about Asura.
Eve’s Fight to the Death
After Asura is released, Kirikou meets up with Ox and the others in Death City, seeing the fight against Asura and Shinigami. However, they are soon approached by Sid, who tells them to help the people injured in the fight. Kirikou does not hesitate in obeying his orders.

He is joined by Black Star and Death the Kid. After Black Star misses Hiro with his Uncanny Sword, Hiro flies up on the golden wings he had obtained from Excalibur. As Hiro taunts Black Star, he is suddenly met with Kirikou, leaping up to attack him. Kirikou uses Triple F on Hiro, but the Meister disappears, and dodges Kid’s attacks also. He then proceeds to defeat all three Meisters with his attack, ‘Hiro the Atomic.’ Kirikou lies immediately defeated, wondering what sort of an attack it was.
After Maka’s falling out with Black Star, she runs off, passing by Kirikou, Ox, and Kim. Kirikou only wonders on what had happened and why Maka had split off from her group.
Kirikou and his partners, along with the other main Shibusen students, are chosen to be sent on a mission to retrieve Brew before Arachnophobia can on Lost Island. When Maka, Kid, and Black Star, along with their Weapon partners, go into the vortex to look for Stein and Marie, who had gone on to find Brew, Kirikou, along with Ox and Kim, decide to stay behind to stop Arachne’s forces from advancing. Kirikou proves his battle prowess by easily taking down the golems and other enemies attacking them. He uses Chain Resonance with Ox and covers Kim whilst she goes up into the sky on Jacqueline and spells out a retreat signal with the smoke coming from the Demon Lantern.
After being exhausted after dispatching a large amount of enemies, Kirikou and Ox, along with their Weapon partners, see Marie and Stein emerging from the vortex. Worrying about Maka and the others, Kirikou and Ox decide to enter the vortex after them. Marie threatens to fail their grades to prevent them from doing so, not wanting to get them hurt. However, Kirikou goes on anyway with Ox, and finds Maka and the others, retreating after the battle with Mosquito, empty-handed. Realizing Black Star’s battered state, Kirikou helps him up on his shoulder. He is startled when he witnesses an explosion, thinking that he is going to die, but then realizes that the vortex contains a constant time replay of the explosion, and sees that the explosion is not harmful.
He exits along with everyone else and is met with Marie, who makes a move to strike the team, but embraces them instead, glad that they are all safe. However, she warns them that they will all have a talking-to when they get back to Shibusen.
Kirikou is seen at the Mission Bulletin in Shibusen, choosing a mission. He meets with Ox, who is taking an Arachnophobia-based mission. Kirikou comments that there is a lot of Arachnophobia missions lately. Kirikou asks Ox who he is planning to go with, and Ox fervently replies that he his going with Kim, although he has not asked her yet. Kirikou wishes him good luck as Ox leaves. Whilst choosing his own mission, he meets Maka, who tells him that he cannot take the mission he had just chosen since he needs to be able to use Soul Perception. Kirikou decides then to choose another mission that requires him to bring down a giant, and the requirement for the mission is ‘an uplifting and fired up heart.’ He decides that it is perfect for someone like him. Kirikou then spots Black Star’s signature on the back and wonders if he reserved this mission. Maka makes a comment that the Shibusen is so quiet now that Black Star and Tsubaki had gone and took a leave of absence off school. Kirikou pauses, in thought.
After Maka and Soul leave on their mission, Kirikou meets with a depressed Ox, who had been rejected by Kim again because of his strange hairstyle. Kirikou suggests he shaves it off, but Ox replies that he cannot shave them since his hairstyle grants him the thunder that gives him the power to protect the ones he loves. Kirikou sees Ox’s passion and asks Ox whether he wants to go on the mission with him, since the requirement for it is ‘an uplifting and fired up heart.’ The two take their mission to the receptionist, who had been watching them for a while. She admires their strong heart and super-approves their mission, giving them a thumbs-up.
Kirikou is seen with his shirt off with Ox and Harvar, back at the Shibusen after their mission. They are met by Maka and Soul, who asks them why they are shirtless. Kirikou explains how they attempted to quell the giant with their fired up hearts, but in the end, they all wound up dancing naked around a campfire with the giant instead.
When Ox learns of the Majin Hunt, he and Maka discuss the new attack with each other, which bores Kirikou and Soul, who starts their own conversation about a musical instrument Kirikou had found on his mission.
After Kim and Jacqueline return, Kirikou sees numerous officials along with Nygus. The officials surround Kim and Jacqueline, knowing that she is a Witch. Scared, Kim and Jacqueline take off, as Kirikou watches on, confused.
As Nygus explains to them that Kim is a Witch, Kirikou is angered of Kim’s treatment as if she is a criminal, and tells Nygus that it would have been better if he and Ox told her of the situation. Ox remains cool and logical, which causes Kirikou to lose his temper with him, and he decides to go off on his own to look for Kim. However, he quickly apologizes before departing, as Soul offers to go with him. While in the male showers at the Shibusen, Kirikou sees Ox, who had been beaten up by the other students because he had stood up for Kim. He asks the Meister if he is alright. Ox asks him if he had been watching, to which Kirikou asks if he had wanted backup. Ox replies that compared to Black Star’s punch, the punches he received where only the punches of a delinquent and a fool. Kirikou happily agrees with him.
Arachnophobia vs DWMA Arc (Anime only)
After the battle over Brew, Kirikou does not make much of a debut until the mission for infiltrating Baba Yaga’s Castle. After fighting through Arachne’s soldiers in the rainforest with his partners and Kim, Jacqueline, Ox and Harvar, they reach the Amazon River Basin and the castle itself. Kim wonders if they can actually infiltrate the castle and Kirikou replies that he does not know, but the only way to find out is by trying. Ox then suggests them to infiltrate the castle by disguising themselves as Arachne’s soldiers with the cloak and mask.
The team successfully infiltrate the castle, passing by Eruka, Free and the Mizune family, also disguised and ready to escape. As the castle takes on the form of a giant robot to fight against the newly transformed animated Death City, Kirikou and the others struggle on inside.
After Azusa Yumi uses her Thousand-Mile Eyes on Kim to grasp the whereabouts of Asura, Kirikou and the others escape from the castle on Jacqueline. He is last seen in the credits, talking with Kim, Ox and all of their partners back in Shibusen.
Operation: Capture Baba Yaga’s Castle
Kirikou, and selected Shibusen students were chosen to follow Medusa in her mission to capture Arachne’s castle. Kirikou is angered that a Witch is in their team, let alone the person who caused Kim and Jacqueline to leave Shibusen. He is at first reluctant to join the team, but he soon relents after Ox says that his help would be needed for the mission to succeed. Upon meeting Medusa, Kirikou is not hesitant to express his strong dislike for Witches.
During their travel, while trekking through the Amazon River Basin which is where Arachne’s base is located, the team is attacked by a squid-like creature in a river that has been affected by the magic of Arachne. The team prepares to attack the beast but, despite all their efforts, all their attacks seem in vain, as the creature is covered by a protective magic coating. Medusa proposes to disassemble the coating with her magic and follow it up with a powerful attack. With that, she enhances Kirikou’s Pot of Fire and Pot of Thunder with her Vector Boost, increasing the power of his punches in order to defeat the creature in a single blow. Kirikou thanks her for his assistance, albeit half-heartedly. She then forces the magic coat apart with her Analysis Disassemble, giving Kirikou a chance to attack. He finishes off the creature with a single punch.
As they enter an underground path into the castle, they are soon greeted with the presence of one of Medusa’s underlings, Eruka, who brings several Arachnophobia uniforms for the crew to disguise themselves with. Kirikou shares a cloak with Fire and Thunder, who sit atop his head. However, after properly infiltrating the castle, their group realizes that everyone around them is wearing the same cloak and mask uniform of Arachnophobia, and soon get separated from one another as they cannot tell each other apart. Kirikou and his partners, Harvar and Ox end up with Mosquito. Kirikou is almost found out by Mosquito as Fire and Thunder fight with each other in the cloak, but luckily, Mosquito only mistakes him for a special Artifact Soldier. Soon after, Kirikou, to his relief, is reunited with everyone.
After Medusa returns from making certain preparations, she assigns everyone with a task. Her plan is to destroy the eight towers, or ‘legs’ of the spider-shaped castle, that hold Demon Tools called ‘Locks’ that keep Arachne’s throne room sealed. She takes Maka and Soul with her to advance towards Arache’s room. She uses Vector Conduct on everyone so that they know where to go. The others are assigned their towers which they are to destroy. Kirikou and Ox are assigned Tower Two, but upon sensing Kim’s Soul Wavelength on the way, Kirikou insists Ox that he searches for her, leaving him to continue alone. When Kirikou finds Tower Two, he finds himself surrounded by Arachne’s Artifact Soldiers. Fire and Thunder continuously fighting on his head almost gives him away, but once again, he is mistaken for a special Artifact Soldier, and ends up in a room with dozens of them. With his disguise, he fits in normally with the rest. However, as many of the other Locks are destroyed, he tires of waiting and decides to shed his disguise among the Artifact Soldiers. He uses both of the Vector Boosts that Medusa had given him, destroying the majority of his enemies. He is met by various specially modified Artifact Soldiers, such as one programmed with various martial arts techniques and one that can read his next twenty moves. He manages to defeat them all, but the last Artifact Soldier, Morubi, ends up distracting his Weapon partners, leaving him Weapon-less against the other soldiers.
He is later saved by his allies Ox and Harvar and Kim and Jacqueline, who had rejoined their side. With their combined effort, they all destroy the Lock in Tower Two.
Later, when Arachne spreads her madness-inducing Soul Wavelength around the castle, Kirikou is affected by the Wavelength and suffers from severe mental pain alongside everyone else. He realizes that Harvar is the only one in their team who is not affected, and states that it is because Harvar is ‘dry to a fault.’ However, as Soul spreads Maka’s Anti-Demon Wavelength around the castle, Kirikou is freed from the madness.
Kirikou is first seen observing and commenting about Black Star and Patty, who are about to spar. He wonders if Patty’s moves, good as they are, will be enough to take on Black Star. He is then seen again as a member of the newly formed Spartoi team, the same time Soul becomes a Death scythe.
I’m Gonna be an Angel
Kirikou is shown with Ox observing a sparing session between both Black Star and Stein. Ox comments about their extreme way of fighting and Kirikou answers that for fighters at a level such as theirs, it is an appropriate means of training.
The Witch’s Research
Kirikou in his Spartoi uniform, with the Thompson Sisters as well as Fire (right) and Thunder (left).
On his first mission as part of the Shibusen’s elite unit, Spartoi, Kirikou is tasked with gathering information from one of Medusa’s abandoned laboratories. He is supported by Patty, Liz, Fire and Thunder. The operation leads the group into a seemingly desolate village within Central Africa. Through the use of certain devices, earpieces called ‘Incoms,’ constant contact is maintained between them and Azusa, the Death Scythe in charge of the mission.
Azusa Yumi quickly briefs them on the mission. Kirikou is meant to infiltrate Medusa’s laboratory to search for Medusa’s written research texts. Once found, Azusa Yumi will copy the texts down by using her Thousand-Mile Eyesto see through Kirikou’s eyes. Since the text will be written in unintelligible Witch language, Azusa Yumi would then transmit the images of the copied texts to Kim Diehl, who is flying up above, who will be able to translate the text since she is a Witch. She recommends Kirikou to be on guard as she does not know whether Medusa is in the nearby area or not. She tells him to use Fire and Thunder for close-range combat, and Liz and Patty for long-range. Since Kirikou has advanced Soul Wavelength compatibility abilities, he should have no problem in switching between the two.
As Kirikou discusses the usefulness of the Incoms with the Thompson sisters, Fire and Thunder proceed to alert him to their discovery of an underground passageway. The group cautiously descend down the darkened stairs, with the majority assuming their Weapon forms in preparation, entering a laboratory containing a collection of various mysterious items. Continuing the infiltration, Kirikou, despite the distraction of many bad puns from Liz and Patty, locates the intended papers and allows Azusa Yumi to view them through the use of her Senringan technique.
After the successful completion of the mission, Kirikou exits the hidden structure only to be momentarily blinded under the blazing sun. As his vision returns, he notices the presence of numerous villagers and proceeds to explain that he is from the Shibusen. However, the statement does not have the intended effect, as Kirikou suddenly comes under fire. His fast reactions combined with a well-timed leap, allow him to evade the barrage of bullets, but confronted by crazed innocents he has little choice than to take cover. Kirikou does not have much time to rest though, as almost immediately his position is compromised. After a brief discussion with Azusa Yumi about the current situation and seeing no other option, Kirikou returns fire using the Thompson sisters, making sure their bullets are regulated to non-lethal levels. He quickly incapacitates the frontal attackers but a sudden Molotov cocktail from the rear forces him to leap between the small alley’s walls and continue along the rooftops. Instantaneously, shots from an AK-47 hammer the area but a well executed dive roll prevents any damage. As this occurs, an RPG is directed towards him, exploding and knocking him back some distance. This action provokes Kirikou into communicating with Kim for immediate evacuation but the attackers prevent this, so he once again flees, this time jumping through a lower window of the adjacent building. It is at this point that Azusa Yumi assumes control and dictates Kirikou’s next movements, resulting in him punching through a solid wall, just in time to catch Jacqueline’s Weapon form. Everyone manages to fly to safety.
Later, at a more secure location, the reunited group contemplate on the meaning of the research they have gathered and how it is related to their encounter with the crazed villagers. They deduct that Medusa is researching a way to control insanity. However, the critical texts were missing in the laboratory, so in the end, Kirikou thinks that they have found out nothing. While they are conversing, the Black Clown appears and the team lose contact with Azusa Yumi.
Kirikou immediately orders Liz, Patty, Fire, and Thunder to transform and for Kim and Jacqueline to back him up. Before he can begin the battle, he notices that his skin is seemingly liquidating and dropping to the floor. Kim compares the phenomenon to the kind of madness used by Arachne. Kirikou focuses his mind and manages to break free from the illusion, pulls out the Thompson sisters and begins to shoot down the Black Clown. He switches to Fire and Thunder as the Clown comes closer, and he connects a punch. The released blood from the creature forms into numerous needles, and the Clown uses Bloody Needle, but Kirikou safely evades. While his mind is on the Bloody Needle attack, the very same attack forms again but the blood is incinerated by Jacqueline’s fire. Kim promises to take care of any counter-attacks from the Black Clown, and tells Kirikou to attack it as much as he can.
Numerous kicks and punches later, the Clown stops releasing Black Blood and relies on close combat. Kirikou blocks the attacks and counters while Kim burns the Black Clown using Wollantern. Kirikou soon realizes that his attacks will not affect the creature. He retreats, while evading all the Vector Arrows thrown at him from the Clown. He performs a Soul Resonance with Kim, who sends her magic to Fire and Thunder to awaken their Earth Shaman abilities. Once the twins transform into their mature adult forms, they each subsequently take hold of one of the Thompson sisters in their Weapon forms, producing visible manifestations of their elemental powers from the barrels of the guns. Kirikou then proceeds to state the name of the attack, E3, signaling the twins to take aim and fire. A large beam emanates from both guns, travelling rapidly towards the Clown, which, upon impact, intermingle and create a massive explosion. This attack destroys most of the Black Clown, leaving only its head on the floor. As the team manage to contact Azusa Yumi again, Kirikou proclaims the battle is over as the Black Clown disappears.
Kirikou, pot of Fire, Thunder, Liz, Patty, Maka, Soul, Black Star, Tsubaki and Blair are all chosen to enter the manuscript of the Book of Eibon to rescue Death the Kid, who had been captured by Noah in the mission to capture Baba Yaga’s Castle. Upon entering the book, the team find themselves in the Introduction of the book. Here, they meet The Table of Contents, the entity in charge of keeping the Book of Eibon in order. The Table of Contents explains that Death the Kid is in the seventh Chapter of the book, and to reach him, they would have to traverse through all seven Chapters in the book, with each one having its own dangers. Kirikou expresses his determination to save Kid, and informs The Table of Contents that they will not be turning back.
The Table of Contents acknowledges their determination and sends them on to the first Chapter, Lust, where everyone has their genders switched, taking on the form of their idea of a perfect sexual partner. Kirikou is transformed into a girl in a female Spartoi uniform, and adopts a more serious, female-like personality. As the Succubus appears, the ‘male’ members of the team (who are originally female) begin to be allured by the creature’s sexual appeal. Since he is now female, Kirikou is not affected, and expresses dismay as the others are distracted. He then notices Blair, seeing that she does not look different at all in her cat form. However, in human form, Blair reveals to have changed into a strikingly handsome young man. The Succubus immediately falls for Blair, and the magic cat uses the opportunity to blast the creature away using her Halloween Cannon. As Blair states that they should be getting on to the next Chapter, Kirikou displays a sort of infatuation towards her in her new attractive male form.
As the team continue on to the next Chapter, Gluttony, everyone realizes that even though they had left the Lust Chapter, they are still in their opposite genders, although their personalities have returned to normal. The Table of Contents explains that they will change back to their original form after leaving the Lust Chapter, and that the speed of the transformation depends on the individual’s sexual desire: the stronger the desire, the slower the transformation. Kirikou takes this in rather light-heartedly, stating, ‘I guess we’ll find out who’s the horniest among us, eh? Should be interesting.’ Tsubaki fervently argues that it is not.
As Patty and Black Star begins to help themselves to the platters of food laid out in the Chapter, the team are confronted by a monstrous pig that is about to eat them. The team prepare to fight. However, after the pig states that its own flesh is of exceptional quality, Kirikou, along with Black Star and Patty, decide to eat the pig instead. Black Star slices off one of the pig’s arms, and Kirikou fries it with Pot of Thunder, before taking a bite out of the roast meat. Black Star slices up the rest of the pig, and Kirikou fries the pieces again. He gorges on the meat alongside Black Star and Patty. Before they can get drawn further into the sin of Gluttony, Soul has The Table of Contents move onto the next Chapter.
Maka and Soul now get separated from the group and end up one Chapter behind. The rest of the group move on, and are next seen in the fourth Chapter, Wrath. The chapter ends up aggravating everyone, making them all fly into a rage. Kirikou, along with the others, fight with each other, but soon calms down, commenting that the environment in the Chapter is completely red, and the colour somehow makes him furious. The Table of Contents replies that red is the colour that aggravates people the most.
Everyone’s anger is further put to the test when Excalibur appears in the Chapter. Although Kirikou, along with the others, laugh at the Weapon for being captured, they are soon annoyed by Excalibur, and are further aggravated when Excalibur prevents The Table of Contents from continuing to the next Chapter. Kirikou and the others manage to distract Excalibur long enough for the team to move to the fifth Chapter, Pride. However, to everyone’s despair, Excalibur follows them.
Excalibur offers the team a chance to save Kid quicker by using him as a Weapon. Liz decides to wield him and manages to open a crack into space with Excalibur. Kirikou watches on with the others. However, Liz’s pride gets in the way, and she ends up throwing Excalibur out the Book of Eibon. Liz laments over her mistake, as Kirikou and the others stare on, not really concerned about the mistake.
Kirikou is later seen with the others in the seventh Chapter, Greed. He watches Liz transform back into her female form just a little quicker than Tsubaki, and teases Tsubaki along with Black Star and Patty because of this. Black Star casually states that it might be best to not sleep in the same room as Tsubaki anymore, and Kirikou becomes envious as Black Star is sharing a room with a girl.
He, along with the rest of the group, then confront Death the Kid. He waits for Black Star as he goes on to find Death the Kid through a portal made by The Table of Contents.
The Black Mass then frees everyone from the Book of Eibon and they all tumble out onto the battlefield where Noah is in the middle of finishing Stein, Marie, Sid and Nygus. Despite the adults’ warnings to tell them to flee, Death the Kid and Black Star decide to fight Noah and his monsters, with help from Maka and Soul. As Noah sends out Gremlins from the Book of Eibon, Kirikou attacks them using Pot of Thunder alongside Blair. He tells the others to focus on Noah as he and Blair can take on the Gremlins. Soon, the team all face the Horror Dragon, and finally Kid manages to defeat the dragon and kill Noah using Parent’s Seven Rays.
