FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What if I swallow Gorilla Super Glue Gel?
Do not induce vomiting. Saliva will cause Gorilla Super Glue Gel to polymerize, or harden, in mouth which means the adhesive usually doesn’t make it into the throat or stomach.
If lips are bonded together, use warm water to gently separate. The enzymes in saliva will actually help to break the bond, so patience is the key.
Do not use acetone or solvents on or near your mouth. Do not attempt to pull the area apart as this can tear the skin. Seek medical attention.
Gorilla Super Glue Gel should be left out of reach of children and animals.
2. How can I prolong the shelf life?
Moisture that gets into the bottle can cause the adhesive to set up and harden. The best practice is to immediately replace the cap and store in a cool, dry location.
There is a metal pin in the cap of Gorilla Super Glue Gel that helps create a tight seal as well as keep the tip clear of dried adhesive.
We do not recommend storing your Gorilla Super Glue Gel in the refrigerator. Because super glue can release gas, it should not be stored near food.
3. How much Gorilla Super Glue Gel is in the bottle and why is it half full?
For high performance and usability, the adhesive needs to be protected from air. One way keep the air out of the adhesive is by packaging in thick plastic bottles. If the thicker plastic bottle was completely full, it would be too hard to squeeze the glue out of the bottle.
4. Can I apply Gorilla Super Glue Gel to a minor cut or to repair a broken fingernail?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel should not be used for intentional contact with the skin.
5. How do I remove from my skin or my project?
To remove Gorilla Super Glue Gel from your skin, soak the bonded area in warm, soapy water or acetone (finger nail polish remover works well). The key is to be patient and NEVER pull the area apart.
Gently wiggle the area to allow the soapy water or acetone to penetrate the bond. After soaking, the adhesive should come off easily. Keep in mind that acetone can strip your skin of oils, so apply moisturizer after removal.
To remove Gorilla Super Glue Gel from the surface of your project, soak bonded area with warm soapy water or acetone. Keep in mind that acetone can mar the surface material or discolor fabric.
6. Can Gorilla Super Glue Gel withstand extreme cold temperatures?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel can typically be exposed to temperatures ranging from -40°F to 200°F without breaking down.
However, there can be variation to this range due to the way different substrates expand and contract in extreme temperatures.
7. Is Gorilla Super Glue Gel heat and water resistant?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel works well in temperatures as high as 200°220°F. However, too much exposure to extreme heat will cause the strength of the bond to be compromised. Likewise, too much exposure to water, especially warm water, can compromise the strength of the bond.
8. Can I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel on paper?
Yes, it will work on paper. Only apply a small amount. It is not acid free, therefore, not recommended for scrapbooking.
9. How do I use Gorilla Super Glue Gel?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is easy to use. It dries in 10-30 seconds and no clamps are needed. Simply clean the surfaces of your project to get rid of dirt, dust and grease. Apply a small amount of Gorilla Super Glue Gel (more isn’t always better; use one drop per square inch). Then put your pieces together and hold for 10-30 seconds. Note that gaps and uneven surfaces may cause delayed bonding.
You can handle your project lightly after 15 minutes. Maximum bond strength is achieved after 24 hours.
After you purchase Gorilla Super Glue Gel, make sure to keep the package for tips and directions.
10. How is Gorilla Super Glue Gel different from Original Gorilla Glue?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is a cyanoacrylate adhesive, while Gorilla Glue is a polyurethane. Unlike Gorilla Glue, Gorilla Super Glue Gel does not require extended clamp time or moisture to activate. It does not foam during set up. In addition, Gorilla Super Glue Gel is recommended primarily for indoor applications only.
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is ideal for smaller repairs that require an instant bond and projects where clamping is not needed.
11. What makes Gorilla Super Glue Gel different from Gorilla Super Glue?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is a thicker and more controllable formula than Gorilla Super Glue. It’s great for projects where precision is key.
12. What makes Gorilla Super Glue Gel different from ordinary super glue?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is reinforced with rubber to secure your projects with a less brittle bond. This helps your project resist bumps, bangs and drops. We call it Impact-Tough.
13. What Can I Use Gorilla Super Glue Gel On?
You can use Gorilla Super Glue Gel on a wide range of materials. This glue works well on wood, metal, stone, ceramic, PVC, brick, paper, rubber and most plastics. Because the glue features a no-run formula, this product also works well on vertical surfaces. You should not use Gorilla Super Glue Gel on foam, concrete or glass. If you need to work with these materials or intend to paint or stain the finished product, you may find that original Gorilla Glue better meets your needs.
14. Is Gorilla Super Glue Any Good?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel provides the sticking power you need to complete many projects, including crafts and modest indoor repairs. If you are searching for a glue capable of drying quickly without running, this product can meet your needs. This super glue dries enough to withstand light handling in just a few minutes.
Known for their incredible strength and performance, adhesive products from Gorilla find use in both home and commercial applications.
15. Is Gorilla Glue Stronger Than Super Glue?
Gorilla Super Glue Gel is formulated to create a strong, virtually instant bond between materials. The strength of this product in comparison to other super glues depends on the glue you use and the materials you are gluing together.
16. Which Is the Strongest Super Glue?
Gorilla makes an entire range of glue products, with each option providing maximum strength in specific applications and conditions. Gorilla Super Glue Gel is one of the strongest glues for vertical surfaces.
Gorilla Glue Gel bonds plastic, wood, metal, ceramic, rubber, leather, paper & more. Useful in a variety of applications. Shop online at cf-t.com now!
